Maria Elena Bello

Maria Elena Bello is an American actress from the United States. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a TV actress as Dr. Anna Del Amico, the medical drama that ran from 1997 until 1998. She was also the character Michelle McBride on Goliath's first season in 2016, and also as Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane on NCIS in which she was as the main agent. Bello was born on 18 April 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Her field of study was in political sciences at Villanova University. Bello was a stage actor in New York and continued to develop her talents after graduating. Bello together with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. Bello published a blog in November of 2013 about her same-sex relationship with Clare Munn, and how it ended. She released a book, Whatever...Love Is LOVE: Questioning The Labels We Give to Ourself, (Dey Street Books) on April 28, 2015.
